The Dressing Up Box is the brain child of fashion & textile management student Danielle Coates.
The Dressing Up Box is Carnousties first EVER vintage boutique, collaborating the creative concepts of Danielle Coates, Bethany Bowles and Samantha McEwen and providing a completely unique shopping experience for the fashion hungry.

Setting itself away from the other vintage boutiques in the Dundee area, The Dressing Up Box is a completely unique store of its kind combination the thoughts and ideas of three extremely ambitious talented young women. The store came about after Bill Bowles (the stores owner) bought a large supply of fancy dress clothing and instead of opening another mundane fancy dress outlet he saw a gap in the market and offered the opportunity to combine the stores large space into this one off creative outlet.

Not only does the store offer a large supply of beautiful hand picked vintage pieces from the 60s, 70s and 80s and a wide selection of fancy dress items to hire for all occasions, it also looks into other areas of vintage. Displaying beautiful restored pieces of antique furniture from the 70s and 80s. All of which are on sale.

The carefully selected team will help create the perfect unique outfit by combining their knowledge of the fashion industry and their love for vintage whilst getting to know the shopper on a personal level creating an innovative outfit for any special occasion. Inside the store the customer is able to sit back and relax in this vibrant creative space. Its this one on one relationship with the customer that makes the Dressing Up Box truly special.
